It has super of tankas including the one which is supposed to be the largest one in existence and exhibited only once in every 11 years. Morning after breakfast leave for Alchi and Likar Monastery, Likir Gompa contains a number of enormous clay statues of Buddha in different forms. Founded during 12th Century, Lakir was first royal monastery to be established in ladakh under direct Tibetan influence, further rive Alchi monastery consists of six temples which contain a chorten seated Buddha and exquistive paintings.
